Legal Education Fund
The Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania Legal Education Fund (“HBALEF”) is affiliated with the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvnia (“HBAPA”), and supports the HBA’s educational mission. The mission of the HBALEF is to promote and sponsor the professional and educational development of talented Latino law students. The HBALEF awards scholarships to law students in Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley through contributions, advertisements and ticket sales generated by its annual scholarship reception. At the HBALEF annual scholarship reception, we honor the scholarship recipients as well as recognize exemplary members of the Latino community for their contributions and commitment, community, and the administration of justice.
The HBALEF was created by members of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania. It is a non-profit organization duly incorporated on March 4, 1988 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The HBALEF is a non-member, non-stock corporation which has been accorded tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
